Lets Rodeo San Antonio!!

The 2011 San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo has come and gone, and in the end I can say that we had an awesome run!!
We started out with Brinley and Pancho making their major show debut and they did AWESOME!

They won:
Grand Champion Open Miniature Market Steer
Grand Champion Pre-Junior Miniature Hereford Steer
and
Grand Champion Pre-Junior Showman!!

We are very proud of Brinley and all of her hard work that she has put in at the barn!





The next we moved in with the Junior Heifers and again we were very pleased. The kids that have bought our progeny have not failed us. Michael Hawes had Champion Heifer Calf with Baer Creek Sheza Cougar (Cougar and Michael were also Champion Heifer Calf in Ft Worth) I can't get the picture from San Antonio to download so here is her picture from Ft Worth.



Then we also had a third place with Baer Creek Grand Finale and a fifth place with Baer Creek Easy on the Eyes. The girls showed these heifers like pros against some very tough competition!

Next we leave for Houston in March and hopefully we have as much success if not more!!

Show us Your Singles!

In honor of Kelly’s Korner blog doing a showcase of singles I am posting about my Aunt Laurie.


Laurie is in her mid 40's and lives outside of Houston, TEXAS. She trains/shows Arabian horses.
Laurie is a genuine, beautiful Christian woman. She has strong Texas roots, loves animals (has 3 dogs and her horses) , Texas Country Music, and her granddaughter. She has an amazing relationship with her two grown daughters. Laurie is the type of person that you know will always listen and give advice without judgment, or being condescending. She is a great listener and has a very open mind. She loves to laugh and have a good time.

Lets just say, you would be the luckiest man in the world to hang with this sweet woman.

Soooooo if anyone out there has/is a handsome, fun, outgoing, animal-loving, 40-50's , Christian single man/father living in Texas....leave me a comment and lets see if we can hook up two amazing people!!!!!

So I am thinking that I have been slacking way to long. So how do I recap the last 5 months...... I guess month by month. Hang in there I will catch up

Brinley showed her heifer "Twitter" in the Guadalupe County Fair and Rodeo. She did awesome and we are extremely proud of her. She was Grand Champion Hereford Heifer and Reserve Champion Heifer of the show.

We went to visit Clint and Amy in Lubbock and went to a corn maze farm. We only did half of it, but it was alot of fun!
