September!!

• September... I really love the month of September!!
• September is the month that two of my favorite people were born! Sweet Kandi Lynn was born on the 21st and My Brent Aaron was born on the 28th
• September marks the beginning of Fall!
• September fall tv starts! (Greys, Desperate Housewives etc)
• September is football! (yes I do at times enjoy it)
• September means that I can break out all the fall scented candles that I have secretly been hoarding for the past 9 months!
• September is caramel apples
• September is the start of major cattle sales
• September is a closer chance of getting away from 100 degree weather
• September is show steer calving month
• September is Pumpkin
• September is Pumpkin Spice
• September is Candy Corn (I love CC until I found out that three handfuls of CC is equivalent to a Big Mac and fries!!!!!)
• September is Scarecrows
• September is jeans and MAYBE just MAYBE a long sleeve shirt or *gasp* a sweater
• September is dove season!
• September is just perfect!!!!

Fall Cleaning!

I have for the last week been taking an honest effort at organizing my junk drawers. What I came to find out though is that I have allot more than junk drawers, I have junk closets, junk crevices, and my honest favorite the catch all table. So my goal is by this time next week I will be clutter free. I am going to take what I can to The Cranny here in town (bc all their proceeds go to the battered women's shelter) and then what they can't take I will send to Goodwill. I have just started but already when I walk in the door it is like this huge weight is off my shoulders. I feel as if my house is bigger. When we built the house and moved in we were young newlyweds that were really not thinking of a family, so the stuff that we saved at that time that was deemed "important" really has no relevance now. It is really sad to say that there are a few unopened wedding presents still in our house. Don't get me wrong they were unwrapped and the thank you notes were written but in the six years of living in this house I still have not found a use for some of it. I am sure that there are many people out there who have uses for this stuff I just don't. So I have no guilt in sending to some that is needy in that area! : ) The hardest thing that I having problems finding a GOOD place for are all the little Tupperware containers that I use for Brinley's lunch, Brylen's food when we are traveling and so on. I really don't want to end up with a bunch of bottoms and no tops or vice versa. Right now they are under my island in a big bowl, however I have already needed that bowl and what do I do with all those containers.................dump them on the counter! So I need a better system for that. After I am done with this cleaning/organizing I am going to tackle my pantry. I have always hated it and I always will unless I do something with it. We got these "nifty" can organizers when we built the house but they are so annoying. Nothing fits properly the shelves are not deep enough yada yada yada........ So I am going to try to attempt a middle ground for em and the pantry! I am not sure where that is but anything is better than the MESS that is there now! So here is my accomplishment for this morning......... I really wish that I had taken a before picture, but believe me it was bad the doors would barely close and when they did all kinds of stuff was peeking out from underneath.
So I am off to tackle another area of my house that needs to breath......

bad mom.... but GOOD BOOK!!!

Yes I am back from Ohio and have been for about a week and half now but........... I kinda got addicted to the Twilight book series and so all of my time has been consumed with that. Poor kiddos : ) I have been guilty of turning on the TV and plopping them down in front of it so that I could read my book! However I am done now with all four books and am back to being the good mother that I think I am! So when the girls are down for their afternoon nap today I will update my blog! Love to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!

OHIO

We are off to Ohio for the weekend to buy a cow!!!!! Hopefully we will not get outbid because we REALLY want her : )
