Brinley grew a watermelon from a seed and was VERY proud of her masterpiece.
Maybe if we plant it at the right time next year we will grow a bigger one!

I forgot to post this picture a while back so here it is......

Brinley is in love with Tyler Allan she thinks that he is the PERFECT man. When we were at the state show in October they were playing together and Brinley wanted to go see the horses that were at the other side of the barn. So she asked Tyler to go with her, well her world came crashing down when her "perfect man" told her no that he wanted to play football instead. She had to learn at an early age about a man and his football.

With our current economy, Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the instructions below.


How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads:


You need four maxi pads to make a pair.
Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part.
The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top.
Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part.


Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most
Aesthetically appealing), etc.


These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe

"Not Me!" Monday

There is a blog that I read almost daily and she does this Not me Monday thing so I thought that I would give it a try. (If you ever have a chance to read her blog in its entirety I truly urge you to do so it is amazing how God is using her and what an amazing God he is)




I did not throw some clean already washed clothes back in the hamper because I did not feel like folding them knowing that my cleaning lady is coming tomorrow and she will do it. That would be totally lazy and selfish




I did not hide the last piece of fish under some lettuce last night at dinner so that no else would see and I could have it all to myself.




I did not just realize that it has been more than four days since the baby has had a full bath (not the washcloth and lotion kind) and then just put her in the kitchen sink to save time




I did not just pile some more clothes into the basket in Brinleys room instead of putting them in her dresser when the basket is inches from the dresser




I did not eat three pieces of Britnis cornbread knowing that it was totally against all of my healthy eating rules




Thats all I have for now but there are still some time left in today!!

Sorry it has taken me so long to post, but every time that I sit down to do it something else comes up. So here we go....... On the 27th we went to visit my grandmother in Yoakum. I needed to drop a bull off at my uncles place so we decided to make a day of it and visit Mimi for the day. The girls really had a blast Mimi cooked us a delicious lunch and the girls played and played. When I was a young girl my grandmother had a wonderful lady that helped her around the house named Miss Kitty. Well I had not seen Miss Kitty in YEARS so we decided to pay her a visit and show off my two girls. Miss Kitty is a saint and exudes only love so it was great to see her and I really think that it brightened her day.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We celebrated Halloween a day early but no one was the wiser. We had the football game on Friday night and Brinley was already dressed up from school so I contacted some friends in the neighborhood and off we went. Brinley had a blast! She was a butterfly this year. Brylen went as a cow and if you have been around her lately you know that it is her favorite word so it was very fitting. At school they had a parade with all of their costumes and then a party afterwards to say the least we took a good nap that afternoon.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well Brylen is ALMOST walking........ she takes that first step and then lunges it won't be too long !! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We were out breeding cows last week for a flush that is tomorrow (keep your fingers crossed) and Brinley was driving Brylen around in her gator looking for "dead Raccoons and Skunks" with the Border Collie in the back! Long story behind the dead Raccoons and Skunks but to say the least my parents have had to do some critter control at there place. So anyways off the girls went with the dog in tow to take count. Kinda morbid maybe????? but they are country girls......... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brinley and "Curly Moe" playing chase. Weekend

This weekend we went to College Station to watch some of our calves show in the State Show. All in all we did really well....... The Junior Show we had Grand & Reserve Champion Heifer
and in the open show we had Grand Champion Heifer. We really could not ask for better.
(I got some really good pictures of Tyler showing Neon but I will post those later I still need to work on the lighting in some of them)

We stayed with Kimberly and Kandi in their house in College Station. It was my first time to see the house and I really liked it. They have it decorated really cute and it is nice quiet neighborhood. So Kandi has these two kittens Lilly Mae and Dolly (or something like that) well my girls were in love with them. Brylen chased them everywhere and when we went looking for her we found her under Kandis bed with the one of the kittens. Poor girl could not figure out how to get back out from under there she kept trying to sit up then she would bump her head.


So Brinley is in love with the Allan boys especially Tyler. She wanted to do everything he was doing, sit by him, play football with him, cheer him on when he showed. She really thinks that he is just perfect : ) Mason (the younger Allan boy) on the other hand is infatuated with Brylen! He says that he loves her soft hair! : )

Homecoming Week

Its homecoming week for Seguin and it is in full force. Tonight is the community peprally and parade and the game is tomorrow night. Brinley did MiniMats again this year and they get to cheer and preform a dance during the peprally : )


For those of you who know about "Our Donald" : ) I have very exciting news....... he has been nominated for Homecoming King!!!!!!!!!!!!! The boy has come a long way since I "found" him or he found me in 2000. We love him so much and are so proud of him for all the wonderful choices that he makes everyday. So keep your fingers crossed and think "King Donald"
wow that has a nice ring to it!!!!!



So I am off to pick up Brinley from school, take her to dance, come home change into her cheerleading outfit and off to the peprally!!!

Brylen will be 10 months old tomorrow!!! Crazy!! It really seems like yesterday that I was in the hospital with her and now...............................
she is a chatterboxing, cruising, almost walking, eye teeth cutting, sippy cup drinking, finger pinching, puppy, cow, kitty, horse loving, follow big sister around everywhere, 10 month old!!!!!

Brent's birthday was on the 28th...............he is the 2-9 now!!!! We got together at my parents for ribs, salad and cupcakes
My parents, Brent's parents and I all went in together and got Brent a barbque pit for his Birthday. He was surprised and really liked it!!!
